Boomerang on the Road

Kyalie Moore

Hi, my name is Kyalie Moore.  I'm a proud Yamatji woman and the founder of Boomerang Consultancy - a grassroots, Aboriginal-led business committed to healing, justice, and the prevention of Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence right across Australia.

Kyalie has spent nearly two decades in the family, domestic and sexual violence sector. She has supervised men’s behaviour change programs, trained frontline workers and supported victim survivors across Western Australia. Now she is taking that experience nationwide.

I would like to welcome you on my journey, Boomerang on the Road. A solo road trip for Healing, Justice and Change across Australia.

"Kyalie's warmth and genuine personality make it easy for you to have conversations that might otherwise feel uncomfortable - whether in the training room, online, at work, or privately, she creates a space that invites and facilitates conversations. In the context of family and domestic violence, Kyalie excels at simplifying complex theories and concepts so that others can understand them and actively engage in meaningful discussions."

Boomerang on the Road - DVassist Sponsorship Q&A

Join me as I kick off an exciting new chapter—travelling around Australia with the support of DVassist, an organisation dedicated to helping people find safe, local domestic violence support when they need it most. In this video, we will introduce the partnership, share why this sponsorship means so much, and you will hear about the work of DVassist in Western Australia

Chapter 4

Hi Peeps, well… the sticker shock of diesel prices hitting new heights every day has finally settled. For a moment there, I won’t lie — I had a wave of irrational thoughts about turning around and heading home. But just as quickly, the practical side of me kicked in. Contingency plans, recalculations… and then, just like that, those thoughts disappeared the second I hit the road toward Broome.

Chapter 2

Hi Peeps, well, I’m happy to report that I’ve well and truly adapted to life on the road! This week I settled into sunny Carnarvon and checked in to an unpowered site at the Discovery Park on Robinson Street.

Chapter 3 - 18.03.2026

This week I made a very deliberate decision not to work directly in community. That meant no training deliveries, workshops, yarning circles, or filming. Instead, I gave myself the space to focus on some important behind-the-scenes work.

Chapter 2 - 09.03.2026

At the beginning of the week, I set up at a shared office space in Carnarvon to catch up on some much-needed work and facilitate an online consultation. It was a quiet start, but it didn’t stay that way for long. As the week unfolded, I was reminded just how vibrant and connected this community is. Carnarvon was buzzing with energy—people moving, creating, supporting one another, and doing some truly incredible work across the town. 🌿

Chapter 1 - Boomerang on the Road & FDSV

As a consultant, I’ve been working remotely for six years, but this week pushed me in ways I didn’t quite expect. Balancing my workload while packing, unpacking, and reorganising the vehicle to make it road-ready was a challenge I felt in every corner of my body. With demands pressing in from all sides and unexpected setbacks popping up just as I thought I was on track, I think I cycled through every emotion possible. By mid-week, the overwhelm caught up with me and the tears arrived — but so did the reminder that I can, and must, keep moving forward.
