Boomerang on the Road

Welcome! On this page, you'll learn about me, Kyalie Moore, and the mission behind Boomerang Consultancy - Boomerang on the Road. I'm excited to share my journey with you.

Meet Kyalie

Kyalie Moore is a proud Wadjarri-Yamatji woman.  A Mens Behaviour Change Program practitioner and supervisor with special interest in integrating the work of Healing and Change (HAC).  Kyalie is a trainer, public speaker, who is passionate about building the capacity and capability of Aboriginal Organisations to stamp out Family Violence in our Communities.

Kyalie has an advanced diploma of Family Therapy and Counselling and a bachelor’s degree of Psychological Science and is an accredited Safe and Together Trainer.

Over the past 15 years, Kyalie has taken on a variety of roles in the Family Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) field — she has worked on the front lines through direct work with men, in management, leadership roles, workforce development, capacity building, advocacy, and research. Kyalie  operates on both state and national levels, supporting communities in the FDSV sector.

Kyalie’s passion lies in eradicating violence and coercive controlling behaviours by driving radical changes in community and systemic responses.  This will lead to violence-free homes across all communities.

This is the legacy Kyalie wants to leave for her children, grandchildren, and future generations.

Meet Boomerang Consultancy

Boomerang Consultancy is an Aboriginal owned consultancy with extensive experience in rural and remote community engagement and consultation, as well as experience working with both Government and community sector organisations.

Boomerang Consultancy works closely with clients to create cultural safety through deep listening and yarning circles to achieve quality outcomes, to support First Nation strategies, and to improve program development, project delivery and organisational understanding of First Nations culture.

Boomerang Consultancy works with and holds to a basic principle, that any work done with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities must be culturally safe and benefit the whole of community.

Meet Boomerang on the Road

Boomerang on the Road is a simple yet powerful mission. It is a solo road trip around Australia, travelling to rural and remote communities where FDSV goes unspoken, and services are stretched thin or don't exist at all. These are the places where change is needed the most and where cultural safety and community voices must be at the centre of that change. This journey will allow me to deliver training, facilitate yarning circles, and support local services and workers on the front line. I will be listening, learning and walking along side communities as they share their stories, their solutions and their strength.

This is more than a road trip, it's a movement. A chance to Boomerang wisdom and resources back to communities, all while bringing their voices forward into the national spotlight.
