Hi Peeps, well… the sticker shock of diesel prices hitting new heights every day has finally settled. For a moment there, I won’t lie — I had a wave of irrational thoughts about turning around and heading home. But just as quickly, the practical side of me kicked in. Contingency plans, recalculations… and then, just like that, those thoughts disappeared the second I hit the road toward Broome.

At the beginning of the week, I set up at a shared office space in Carnarvon to catch up on some much-needed work and facilitate an online consultation. It was a quiet start, but it didn’t stay that way for long. As the week unfolded, I was reminded just how vibrant and connected this community is. Carnarvon was buzzing with energy—people moving, creating, supporting one another, and doing some truly incredible work across the town. 🌿

Chapter 1 - Boomerang on the Road & FDSV

As a consultant, I’ve been working remotely for six years, but this week pushed me in ways I didn’t quite expect. Balancing my workload while packing, unpacking, and reorganising the vehicle to make it road-ready was a challenge I felt in every corner of my body. With demands pressing in from all sides and unexpected setbacks popping up just as I thought I was on track, I think I cycled through every emotion possible. By mid-week, the overwhelm caught up with me and the tears arrived — but so did the reminder that I can, and must, keep moving forward.
